In a report by Sammobile, Samsung’s popular note-taking application Samsung Notes is getting all the Galaxy Note 20 specific features.
Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Note 20 series in the Unpacked event this month. The phone is already hyped because of all the good reasons. Moreover, the phone also brings new features to the note-taking app, Samsung Notes.
Well, now all the new features that you could enjoy on the Galaxy Note 20 Samsung Notes app, can now be enjoyed on the older Galaxy Note flagships.
The new version of the Samsung Notes app will be available to 2019’s Galaxy Note 10 and other eligible Samsung devices. There are some nifty new features along with some important additions in the latest version.
Let us run down on some of the new features that you will see with the updated Samsung Notes app;
New File Format And File System
With the new Samsung Notes app, the OEM has also introduced a new file system along with a new file format. This means that older notes stored in the phone need to be converted to the new file format if you wish to edit or move to a different folder.
Notably, the old format files will be saved in a different 'Old format’ notes folder. However, users will still be able to read and open the old format notes.

The new Samsung Notes app version also brings a new feature that allows you to create folders and sub-folders. This will help differentiate your notes and can be accessed more conveniently.
There is now a 'Trash’ folder which basically will store all of your deleted notes. You can restore and place them in a new folder from the Trash.
A Better UI And Paging System
The new UI of the notes app looks better, and it now gives more flexibility in terms of features for writing or sketching. You now get individual pages, the ability to import PDFs, save in PDF format, Microsoft PowerPoint format.
The new paging system (templates) gives two buttons for the handwriting and text modes which are now placed at the bottom of the toolbar. Besides, the filename and the title are shown where the toolbar used to be in the old Samsung Notes app.

Older features have been streamlined and have been simplified. The 'record audio’ feature now lets you record audio in real-time while you are writing in the app. The audio will playback in sync with your writing.
Furthermore, you can also import drawings and text boxes to your new Notes app. So, all in all, the new Samsung Notes app gives more room for flexibility.
This new version of the Samsung Notes app brings all the Galaxy Note 20 specific features. Moreover, there is less learning curve for the users, making the usage of the new features more convenient.
