You Can Pre-Order Nest Audio Today For $99

The Nest Audio was announced today, and it is already up for pre-order.
The new smart speaker costs only $99, which is actually $30 cheaper than its predecessor.
Nest Audio is the mid-sized smart speaker from Google, and the last one to get updated to the new „Nest” branding. It’s wrapped in fabric too, like the others in the lineup. And made from 100% recyclable material. Which is always nice to see. Especially given how much e-waste we go through these days, with all of these electronics.
The audio experience on the Nest Audio is really impressive actually, and since it stands up, it can really fill an entire room with music. It still works with the multi-room audio features Google debuted a few years ago. So you can move music throughout your home. Additionally, the Google Assistant is baked in. So you can still ask for traffic and weather conditions, use it to control your smart home products and much more.
Nest Audio can still make calls over Google Duo, and you can use it to bring calls onto your TV or other devices that you might have laying around. It can also be hugely helpful around the house, with answering your most thought about questions. Like why is the sky blue, and so forth. This is because it has the Google Assistant running the show, and Google has the answer to just about everything – thanks to the search engine.
Where can I pre-order the Nest Audio?
Currently, you can only pre-order the Nest Audio smart speaker from Best Buy and the Google Store. That might change once it officially becomes available in a couple of weeks. But as for now, it’s limited to just those two retailers. Don’t expect Amazon to sell it though, as it doesn’t sell its other smart speakers.
As mentioned, the Nest Audio is $99.
The Nest Audio is available in five colors: Chalk, Charcoal, Sage, Sand and Sky. Which matches the colors of the Chromecast TV and the new Pixels that were also announced today.

When will it be available?
According to Google, the Nest Audio will be available on October 5. That’s less than a week away. Which means you have very little time to wait to get yours.
It’ll fit right in with the Nest Mini that you may already have in your home. And since it works with the Google Assistant, it works with your smartphone pretty easily too.
