Well, well, well, we have some more leaks coming in for the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S21. The recent one claims that the Galaxy S21 will come with an improved 108MP camera and laser autofocus.
After having a busy year at the office, Samsung Galaxy S21 rumors started picking up pace pretty soon. It’s still during the early days of November, and design and specifications leaks are now coming out, left-right, and center.
In fact, a few days ago, it was reported that a tip highlights that the Galaxy S21 will be releasing earlier than expected. It is rumored to be launched in January.
Then other rumors suggested that, soon after mocking Apple for not including the charger with iPhone 12 series, Samsung will follow suit. Meaning that the upcoming Galaxy S21 will not include a charger and earphones.
But now, a tweet by Ice Universe suggests that the Galaxy S21 will come with an updated 108MP camera. However, the phone will skip the ToF sensor.
Ice universe is a reliable tipster and as per the tweet, Samsung would use an HM3 sensor, single-pixel at 0.8um, laser autofocus with a 108MP camera.
Samsung is known for its great camera performance, and it is nice to see Samsung doing some updates to its camera module for the upcoming Galaxy S21 to improve the camera performance.
Galaxy S21 is expected to pack ISOCELL HM3, an upgrade over the ISOCELL Bright HM1
For the unaware, Galaxy S20 came with the ISOCELL Bright HM1. But the upcoming Galaxy S21 is tipped to include the ISOCELL HM3. That is 12% brighter than ISOCELL Bright HM1 and would generate more details.
Besides, the new ISOCELL HM3 would also improve the night sight photo-taking capabilities. And will capture night sight images faster.
In place of the ToF camera, it will include the Laser AF. This is the same hardware that Galaxy Note 20 Ultra has currently. Notably, it is the latest premium offering from the company.
All these specifications leaks are making the Galaxy S21 more compelling. While it’s not entirely clear what the performance of the device would be, it’s surely expected to pack a punch.
On the software side of things, leaks have come out stating that the device will come with One UI 3.1 based on Android 11 and not the One UI 3.0.
At present, there is no confirmation about any of the features from Samsung. All these features have been either tipped or rumored. So, it’s recommended to take all the information with a pinch of salt.
Galaxy S21 Ultra is a small improved version of S20 Ultra. Using HM3 sensor, single pixel is still 0.8um, 108MP, laser focus, no ToF.
