Amazon Is Rolling Out A Revamped Fire TV Interface

Amazon is now rolling out a long-overdue interface revamp for the Fire TV streaming devices. Notably, when Amazon announced its third-generation Fire TV products, it also said that a new interface will be rolled out this year.
And it seems like Amazon has stuck true to its words, as it is rolling out a new Fire TV platform update. The update is touted to be a „new Fire TV experience” for the devices.
It brings features like multi-user support. This feature shows personalized recommendations and watch lists for each profile. Additionally, there is a streamlined interface, making it easier and faster to reach your favorite entertainment apps.
The new update is more focused on implementing a fresh design and discovering new shows. Amazon will be rolling out the Fire TV interface update first to the 3rd-generation Fire TV Stick and Stick Lite.
The Amazon Fire TV interface update brings some obvious changes. Like there is a new 'Home’ section with a Main Menu at the center. Moreover, the center also shows various content recommendations arranged underneath it.
Besides, the above-mentioned navigation menu also includes a scrolling list of all of your favorite streaming apps. All in one place, making it easier to access these apps.
Amazon Fire TV interface update adds separate tabs for Library, Find Page, and more
The navigation menu includes separate tabs for Library, Find Page, Home Screen, and Live Programming page. Using this Find Page tab, you can search for any content across the recommended content.
You can also search for movies, TV shows, free ad-supported content, and sports from various services. Amazon has also improved Alexa integration with the new Fire TV devices.
Once you have set up a voice profile, Alexa will recognize your voice and automatically switch over to the matching profile when asked.
Another feature is the ability to set up and has up to six user profiles. Now, this would enable you to set up six user profiles for different members of your family.
You can customize the experience and select which program or TV channel you want in your profile. So, you can have a personal profile based on your likings.
The new Fire TV update adds support for picture-in-picture. The on-screen Alexa responses have also been tweaked to be less intrusive. Meaning that the responses will now appear at the bottom of the screen instead of covering the entire content you are watching.
As already mentioned, the new Fire TV update is rolling out for the third-generation Fire TV Stick and Fire TV Stick Lite over the coming weeks. Other Fire TV devices will get the updates early next year.
