It was long rumored that the new Galaxy wireless earphones from Samsung would be launched alongside Galaxy S21 next year. Well, the latest leak has spilled details about the specs and price of the upcoming Galaxy Buds Pro.
Moreover, the leak also confirms that the Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro will be launched along with the Samsung Galaxy S21 earlier next year.
Interestingly, Samsung is jumping guns and will release its 2021 flagship, the Galaxy S21 series, a bit earlier than it normally does. The phones will be unveiled in mid-January at the Unpacked event.
Previously, it was leaked that the wireless earbuds will be launched in three colors; black, violet, and silver. The latest leak also reveals the upcoming Galaxy Buds Pro in its violet, silver, and black color.
If we follow up on Samsung’s tradition, it gives out whatever Buds model it is announcing together with the S-line or Note series for free with their preorder. Else, there is a steep discount on the product. So, we expect something similar with the Galaxy Buds Pro and Galaxy S21.
Digging up the FCC ID (Federal Communications Commission), it carries the model number SM-R190. Along with this, there is a detailed diagram of the Buds Pro case.
FCC ID reveals the official name of Galaxy Buds Pro, color variants & specs
According to the FCC ID, as already mentioned, the upcoming wireless earphones from Samsung will be called Galaxy Buds Pro. There will be three color variants to choose from.
The Buds Pro case would pack a 500 mAh battery, while there will be a 60 mAh battery inside each bud. This would last about 22 hours with ANC (Active Noise Cancellation) set to ON and with a cradle.
Talking about the specs of the upcoming wireless earbuds, it will feature active noise cancellation (ANC), IP68 water resistance, would feature Bluetooth 5.1, touch controls, USB-C fast charging, and wireless charging support.
The Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro would come with a price tag of $199. It is expected to be released alongside the Galaxy S21 lineup next year.
Features like a new level of ANC and water resistance should be good enough to consider purchasing these wireless earbuds. Notably, the Buds Pro is codenamed Attic, as confirmed by the FCC filing.
Good thing is that Samsung has upped the battery capacity on both earbuds and the charging case. This would give you some extra hours of music playback. FYI, without cradle, you can expect around 6 hours of playback from each bud.
