Samsung‘s AI-powered image enhancement app Galaxy Enhance-X is available for the Galaxy S23 series. It offers various AI features to quickly remaster and improve the quality of your photos. You can adjust colors, brightness, sharpness, HDR, and more with just a few taps. The company plans to expand support to more devices in the future.
Samsung announced Galaxy Enhance-X in July of last year. The company said the app will be available for all Galaxy smartphones running Android 10 or higher, with its One UI 2.5 or newer custom skin on top. By all, we mean the Galaxy S, Galaxy Note, and Galaxy Z series flagships, as well as the Galaxy A, Galaxy M, and Galaxy F series budget and mid-range models.
Months after the original announcement, Galaxy Enhance-X is here for Galaxy S23 users. The initial version number is 1.0.55, with the app weighing about 85MB on the Galaxy Store (link below). If you’re using the latest Samsung flagship, you can download the app and start remastering your photos with ease. Users of other Galaxy devices can expect to get this app in the coming months.

Galaxy Enhance-X offers tons of photo enhancement tools. For starters, you can use the Magic button to quickly fix all imperfections in the photo. It instantly fixes noise, blur, and loss of detail in your photo. You get a slider to compare the before and after versions. Galaxy Enhance-X also contains separate buttons for functions such as HDR, Brighten, Fix Blur, Fix Moire, Sharpen, Face, Portrait, Remove Reflection, Remove Shadows, Upscale, and more.
With the HDR function, the app intelligently adjusts the highlights, shadows, brightness, and contrast of your photos to give you the best result. If you want to remove unwanted shadows and reflections from photos, you have those options as well. Likewise, you can upscale photos under 1MP up to four times. The app also removes compression noise for crisp images at the tap of a button.
The Fix Moire function lets you remove those repetitive patterns of wavy lines that appear in photos if you capture your laptop, TV, or tablet’s screen with your phone. You can also use Galaxy Enhance-X to adjust the skin color tone, smoothness, eye size, jawline, and more in your face or choose between multiple background blur effects and styles for portrait shots.
