Samsung’s Galaxy Buds+ will ship with the Galaxy S20 and S20 Ultra. The Galaxy Buds+ have not been announced yet, they’ll become official along with the Galaxy S20 series next month. As a reminder, that will happen on February 11.
The Galaxy Buds+ will be included with the Galaxy S20+ / S20 Ultra pre-orders
Evan Blass / @evleaks, a well-known tipster, has confirmed that you’ll get these fully wireless earphones if you pre-order the Galaxy S20+ or S20 Ultra. Do note that the same does not apply for the Galaxy S20 pre-orders.
The Galaxy Buds+ will look extremely similar to the Galaxy Buds, based on what we can see in the provided image. According to rumors, they’ll ship with a larger battery, and won’t include ANC (Active Noise Cancellation).
The original Galaxy Buds included a 58mAh battery, while the new ones are supposed to include an 85mAh one. The exclusion of ANC is a bit of a disappointment, presuming it’s true, but the overall sound should be better regardless.
That is pretty much all the info that we have on these buds. The white variant of the Galaxy Buds+ is pictured in an image above, though they’ll probably arrive in more color options.
This image, that Evan Blass shared, also shows off the Galaxy S20+ and S20 Ultra, well, part of them. You can see part of their back sides, along with their camera setups. This is yet another image that confirms 100x zoom for the Galaxy S20 Ultra, thanks to that periscope camera.
In addition to this leak from Mr. Blass, Max Weinbach had something to add when it comes to the Galaxy Buds+. He said that the Galaxy S20 Ultra and Z Flip won’t include them in the box.
He was not referring to pre-orders, quite obviously, but to actual retail boxes that will be available after the pre-order period ends. That may be somewhat surprising for you, considering the price tags of those two phones.
USB-C earphones will ship with the Galaxy S20 Ultra
In any case, you can look forward to USB-C earphones in the Galaxy S20 Ultra’s retail box. We don’t know if the Galaxy Z Flip will also include them, but it probably will.
Mr. Weinbach also mentioned that the Galaxy S20 Ultra will ship with a 25W charger in the box. The phone is expected to support 45W charging, though.
The Galaxy Z Flip will become official along with the Galaxy S20 series, it seems. All of those devices will launch on February 11 in San Francisco, as Samsung had already scheduled a press conference.
The Galaxy S20 and S20+ are expected to arrive in both 4G and 5G variants. The 'Ultra’ model, on the other hand, will ship in 5G flavor only, according to rumors and leaks.
