The Watchworthy app is now available for both Android and iOS. This app comes in just the right time, as many of us are stuck at home due to the current health crisis.
Even if that was not the case, this app can be really useful. Many of you probably love to watch TV shows, but can’t always find what you’re interested in. Well, that’s where the Watchworthy app comes in.
This app is here to help you discover binge-worthy content, pretty much. All this app asks for is 30 seconds to help you find a new TV show to watch. The app also claims that is has a great success rate.
Watchworthy app uses a ton of data from Ranker.com, in addition to the data you provide
Watchworty has crowd-sourced data from over 200 million votes on Ranker.com, from various people voting on TV shows. The app combines that data with „fancy science”, as the company calls it, in order to predicate what to watch next.
This app will also help you navigate your streaming apps. It has over 200 streaming services in its database, and if you do find a show to watch, and are not subscribed to a streaming service, you’ll know exactly where to go.
You can combine your watchlists from different streaming services in this single application. You can even start watching shows directly from your watchlist with a single tap.
So, how exactly does it work? Well, once you run the app, it will ask you to tell it what shows you love and hate. It will use that data to help you find what next to watch.
So, it will basically start showing you various TV shows. You will be able to either mark it as a thumbs up, or thumbs down. If you haven’t watched it, you can skip that recommendation.
You have 20 seconds to submit your answer for each show. Once you’ve marked enough shows, Watchworthy will use that data in order to propose what to watch next.
It will basically share a percentage of how much is a particular show worthy to watch, for you specifically. The worst-case scenario, you don’t like any of the recommendations, but chances are, you will find something watch-worthy.
The app does come with ads, but without in-app purchases
Watchworthy does come with ads, but the app is completely free to use. It also does not include in-app purchases, of any kind. The app also offers a nice-looking UI, even though it’s more adapted to iOS than Android standards, but that’s not something to worry about.
The app works great, and that’s the most important thing. At the time of writing this article, the app had 10 reviews, and all of them were 5-star reviews. If you’re interested in Watchworthy, a download link is included below.
