We are only a month away from knocking on the doors of 2021. Several smartphone manufacturers including Samsung, OnePlus, etc are in line to announce their H1 flagship phones.
For some reason, all the OEMs are eyeing an early 2021 release. Samsung has the Galaxy S21 (Galaxy S30) in the pipeline, while OnePlus would be coming up with its OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro.
While OnePlus is known to release its flagship devices somewhere in the month of March, new leaks have already emerged about the OnePlus 9 Pro device.
Notably, a device with the alleged OnePlus 9 Pro model number was spotted on the Geekbench listing. Moreover, the device packed in 8GB of RAM.
Apparently, the alleged OnePlus 9 Pro has been benchmarked a few days ago. It has been benchmarked under the name „LuBan LE2117.” Here the latter part of the benchmark ID is the model number of the OnePlus 9 Pro.
This is very quick for an OnePlus device to surface on the Geekbench listing. But we all are much aware that leakers and tipsters know more about the upcoming devices than the company itself. So, nothing surprising here.
The alleged OnePlus 9 Pro runs Android 11 and has 8GB of RAM
The device spotted on the Geekbench listing, which is the alleged OnePlus 9 Pro runs on Android 11. And as already mentioned, it comes with 8GB of RAM.
The motherboard of the device has the codename „lahaina.” Besides, the processor is an octa-core 1.80 GHz chipset. Talking about the benchmark scores, it attained a single-core score of 1122 points.
While the multi-core score came at 2733 points. The processor is believed and expected to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 875. As the company will pack the latest and greater Qualcomm chip available, there is no doubt here.
The Snapdragon 875 on the OnePlus 9 Pro has four base cores clocked at 1.80GHz. Whereas, three performance cores clocked at 2.42GHz, and a prime core clocked at 2.84GHz.
Apart from the processor specifications, the OnePlus 9 Pro is expected to sport an AMOLED display with a 120Hz high refresh rate. There are some unconfirmed reports that claim it would come with a 144Hz display.
Since the information does not come from a reliable source, we would advise our readers to take this piece of information with a pinch of salt.
OnePlus 9 series is also rumored to pack in the 65W fast charging support. This is currently available on the OnePlus 8T. Moreover, the OnePlus 9 series is also expected to come with 40W fast wireless charging support as well.
All in all, the OnePlus 9 series, i.e. the OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro, are expected to be a powerhouse of devices. But to see that in reality, we will have to wait for their official announcement and release.
