A bunch of Samsung Galaxy devices are receiving the latest July security update. Notably, the Samsung Galaxy Xcover Pro, Galaxy A70, and the Galaxy S20 FE are picking up the new software.
Over the past couple of weeks, Samsung has updated multiple devices including The Galaxy S10, S10 Lite, Z Flip, Fold, S20, S21, Note 10, Note 20, and the S20 FE.
Now it’s time for the Galaxy Xcover Pro, Galaxy A70, and Galaxy S20 FE ito join the party.
The Samsung Galaxy Xcover Pro gets the July security update
The July security update for Galaxy Xcover Pro is arriving with firmware version G715FNXXS9CUG2. This update is very crucial as it fixes as many as 20 vulnerabilities related to privacy and security.
As noted by SamMobile, the Galaxy Xcover Pro July 2021 security update is currently live for users in Poland. Besides fixing security bugs, this update does not bring any new features to the device.
You can expect some stability and performance improvements, though. Since the update is rolling out via OTA, you can manually check for the update by heading over to Settings > Software update and then tap on Download and install.
Samsung Galaxy A70 devices get the update as well
After almost two dozen Galaxy devices, it is time for the Galaxy A70 to pick up the latest security patch. FYI, the Galaxy A52 was the first mid-range device from Samsung to receive the July security update.
Now, the three-year-old Samsung Galaxy A70 is getting a security level bump. The update is live for Galaxy A70 users in Brazil.
It’s arriving with firmware version A705MNXXU5DUF2 on Claro’s network at the moment. However, it is expected to be expanded over to other regions within a few days.
The update is incremental in nature, and it fixes over 20 vulnerabilities related to security and privacy. It also brings fixes for Android Auto bugs, which several users were facing.
Don’t forget about the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE
The Qualcomm Snapdragon variant of the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE is also receiving the July 2021 security update. The Exynos variant has already bagged the latest security patch.
To be specific, the Snapdragon 865-powered Galaxy S20 FE with model SM-G780G is picking up this new update in Malaysia. Besides, the Galaxy S20 FE model number SM-G781B is getting updates in various countries across Europe. This includes the Czech Republic, Greece, Italy, Poland, the Nordic region, and a few others.
Worth noting is that the Malaysian model is getting the update with firmware version G780GXXU1AUG2. Whereas, the European Galaxy S20 FE models are getting the update as G781BXXU3CUG2.
